I hope these Year of the Tiger recipes inspire you to get into the kitchen and experiment with tea!
With February now upon us, it feels like the year is racing ahead already. So when I need things to slow down a little, here's my list of soothing teas to relax, unwind and take my time with.
Lunar New Year begins when the new moon appears between 21 January and 20 February - which in 2022 is February 1st. It is now the Year of the Tiger, the main hallmarks of which are bravery, confidence and unpredictability: fitting characteristics for another year of uncertainty and change. Despite the turbulence, we here at Pekoe Tea are very grateful for your support and can't wait to see what this new exciting year will bring.

This year we are running a special competition to mark the Chinese Year of the Tiger.

We are giving away a one-off Limited-Edition Kinnettles Gold Caddy designed by artist and PekoeTea staff member Sam Robinson.

Find the right non-dairy milk is crucial to find to continue enjoying your morning, afternoon, or evening tea. Therefore, here at Pekoe Tea we’ve been experimenting with all sorts of interesting dairy alternatives and compiled a guide for anyone struggling to find just the right match.
Annual Burn’s Night celebrations traditionally involve a lot of feasting, singing and drinking.  But if your partaking in dry January or happen to be the designated driver, why not try some Scottish themed tea blends instead to help round off your festivities.
Books, tea and cakes go so well together. Today we're sharing with you a recipe for this easy vegan lemon & poppy seed cake created by one of our new staff members Ewa. Whether you're vegan 24/7, just trying it for a month or if you're not vegan at all... you will all love a slice (or let's make it 3 slices) of this beauty.
We found the flavour of Honey Oolong to be absolutely fantastic.  When we first put the dry leaves into the pot the aroma was sweet and floral with notes of spices.  The leaves are beautiful and wiry thanks to the gentle processing.  And the tea itself has a honey like flavour, with floral notes and the classic darjeeling muscatel flavour.
After just over a decade we are saying goodbye to our shop at 20 Leven Street this month with our last trading day on Saturday 24th July.  We're not closing down - we're moving to Leith, in the north of Edinburgh.
This is a really simple iced tea that you can make in 10 minutes using a cocktail shaker.  No need to leave the tea to chill overnight.  A couple of years ago we experimented with this method of making iced tea using Lapsang Souchong, so I thought the same technique would work well with our Islay Whisky Tea.  The smokey earthy notes are quite unusual but very refreshing, it's a great option for a non-alcoholic drink on a summers day.
Saturday the 12th of June 2021 is International World Gin Day so I thought I would share my recipe forApothecary Rose G&Tea Iced Tea.  The botanicals in the Secret Garden Gin Teas really pick up the flavours of a gin and tonic, except there's no alcohol involved.
With Father's Day in less than two weeks, I thought it would be nice to put together a Father's Day gift guide.  Being a dad myself, I've based this around what I would be happy to receive if my son decided to buy me something tea related or what I would buy for my dad for Father's Day.
