Tea Studio Vacancy

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working member of staff to join our team at our new Tea Studio in Leith.  

The role will include some customer service in our shop but we are also looking for somebody who is keen to learn about online content creation and to help with our digital platforms.  Experience in a similar retail environment with customer service is preferred but not essential - as long you have a positive attitude and are willing to learn, training will be provided.  You must have basic computer literacy skills and be comfortable learning how to use new software.

As part of the role, we expect applicants to be comfortable helping with the organising and running of tasting events - sometimes these events will be in the evenings.

Applicants should be passionate about tea and interested in learning more about our range of nearly 100 different teas and infusions.   

The position is permanent and for a minimum of 1 year.  Starting wage is £9.50/hour - this will be reviewed regularly against performance.  The hours are part-time but you must be available on Saturdays and up until Christmas Eve

Warehouse Vacancy

We are currently looking for a warehouse assistant to help in our tea factory in Leith.

We are a small family business and a real living wage accredited employer.  The hours are part-time and flexible.  We normally work at the warehouse Monday-Friday between 9am and 6pm. 

Although previous warehouse experience may help it is not essential as full training will be provided.  Because we are a small team it is more important that you have a good work ethic and a willingness to learn.  An interest in tea will also help. 

Main Duties

  • Follow procedures to SALSA standard
  • Packing tea for retail and wholesale to a standard required for a luxury brand
  • Dispatching all goods outwards by courier and royal mail
  • Receiving and checking all goods inwards
  • Ensure that stock is kept in the correct location
  • Operating inventory software to log production, jobs and orders
  • Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy
  • Checking for damaged stock or equipment and reporting any damage to warehouse manager
  • Doing any errands that warehouse manager may require.

Essential Skills:

  • You must be comfortable using computer systems. We will provide training on our inventory software, printing software and dispatch software but it is essential that you have a basic level of computer literacy
  • Able to work in a team, hard-working and conscientious. We are a small team and it is essential that everyone within the team contributes to the smooth running of the warehouse.
  • This job involves some manual handling of tea sacks/boxes

Salary - £9.50/hr
