The team at Pekoe Tea HQ have put together some tips for creating the perfect gift hamper for tea lovers (or tea discoverers!) this festive season, from creating themes to mixing up gifts to surprise and delight.
This week we are starting a packaging free weighing out service for visitors to our tea shop in Edinburgh.  Our 20 best selling teas will be available weighed out for you to refill your own container, helping to reduce plastic waste.  What's more, we will be giving a £1 off the total price of each tea purchased packaging free (minimum purchase of 50g for the discount).

Summer is here and it's Ice Tea Season at PekoeTea. We're creating a range of ice tea recipes for you to try at home in the garden, or at the beach! Our first recipe is Peach & Ginger Sencha Ice Tea. A great alcohol-free alternative to summer cocktails.

I was inspired to try making scones again after enjoying some home-made scones and tea with my mum in her back garden.  They are really quick and easy to make and are the ideal accompaniment to tea.  This recipe is also sugar free so a good snack to have if you are avoiding excess sugar.  Serve with butter or clotted cream with a nice afternoon tea like Kenilworth Ceylon or the 1903 Blend.
Historically women and their achievements have not been celebrated or recognised as much as they deserve to be and this is also true in the history of tea. Many women have helped to shape the culture and etiquette of tea drinking around the world and this post is our thank you to some of them.

April 21st was National Tea Day.  It has been set up to celebrate and promote tea culture in the UK.  What better tea to celebrate than Kinnettles Gold grown right here in Scotland.

There are only 2kg manufactured each year, which accounts for the high price and it was the first commercially available black tea genuinely made in Scotland.

We're looking for more ways to minimise waste as part of an ongoing move to be more involved in circular economies. With this in mind we'll be offering £3 store credit when you bring 6 PekoeTea aluminium caddies back to the shop for recycling.
