Harvested in the Second Flush of 2024, this is an unusual but delicious example of a Darjeeling tea made with the Japanese Yabukita cultivar. The Yabukita cultivar is known for its intense flavour and Rohini has combined this with  the exceptional terroir of the Himalyan foothills.  Plum Muscatel has rich flavours of plum, pomegranate, dark cocoa and pollen. Rohini tea estate is one of the oldest tea estates in Darjeeling and grows teas at relatively low altitudes of 1000-3000ft above sea level making use of at least 7 different tea clones and experimenting with different production techniques. We buy our Darjeeling teas directly from Rohini and Gopaldhara tea estates and hand pack them in Edinburgh into plastic free and recyclable tinplate caddies and boxes.
