Imperfect Wazuqu Japanese Cast-Iron Teapot

Colour: Large Fuku Blue
Large Fuku Blue
Small Mayu Blue

• These beautiful handmade teapots were designed by renowned Japanese Designer Ken Okuyama

Unfortunately a few of these were damaged in transit so they have imperfections as shown.  The Teapots are sold as seen, with the price reduced due to the imperfections.

• These Japanese teapots are made from Wazuqu, a specific type of iron traditionally used in Japan for blades, tools and certain luxury items including tetsubin like these.

The manufacturer is a family business that has been crafting tetsubin since the seventeenth century, establishing a reputation for quality and craftsmanship. They are today one of the very few studios using Wazuqu iron, and examples of their teaware have been chosen as gifts for three Emperors of Japan.

The teapots are made from the cast metal, with the interior finished with enamel and the exterior baked with melamine to create the coloured effect.

• The large Fuku teapot has a capacity of 550ml and the small Mayu teapot a capacity of 350ml
